Luksuzni Nokia telefoni ne znaju za krizu
Sreda, 24. decembar 2008. 13:36

Nokia 6700, Nokia 6303 and Nokia 2700 - three new classics

Alhtough the first month of 2009 is not over yet, Nokia has already announced three new phones: Nokia 6700 classic, Nokia 6303 classic and Nokia 2700 classic.

All of them have been unveiled just a few hours ago, and, as Nokia puts it, they offer a mix of “functionality and user experience required in today’s hectic times, with premium designs and materials that make them the most beautiful, well built and competitively priced offerings available.”

First on the list is Nokia 6700 classic, a candybar that comes to replace the popular Nokia 6300 (launched way back in 2006).

I must say, the 6700 (pictured above) looks really nice, and it will probably sell well. Its features were not fully unveiled, but we do know that they include a 5 MP camera, A-GPS and “high speed data access”.

Nokia 6700 will be available in the second quarter of 2009, for an estimated retail price of  €235 (around $310).

Nokia 6303 classic, seen just below, is a slider that will ship at about the same time with the 6700, but for a lower price: €135 ($178).

The 6303 offers a 2.2 inch display, a 3.2 MP camera, pre-loaded Nokia Maps, a 3.5mm headset jack and “excellent battery performance”.

Nokia 2700 classic, the third new Finnish phone for today, is a cheap device that will cost you only €65 ($85).

Planned to be released in Q2 2009 too, the 2700 features a 2MP camera, integrated music player and MicroSD card support, up to 2GB.

Nokia 6600i slide, the smallest 5MP Nokia slider

Only one day after unveiling three new cheap, entry-level phones, Nokia has now announced a more advanced handset – the Nokia 6600i slide.

If the name sounds familiar, it’s because Nokia has launched, about a year ago, the 6600 slide.

The difference between the 6600 slide and 6600i slide is that the new phone features a 5MP camera with dual LED flash (the old phone only has a 3.2MP one).

Nokia presents the 6600i slide as its “smallest 5 megapixel slider to date”, and the phone is also relatively affordable – €200 ($271).

Other than the improved camera, Nokia 6600i slide is basically the same old 6600 slide, with a slightly different design:

Nokia 6600i slide will be available in select markets starting the third quarter of 2009. It will be shipped with a 1GB card and a Nokia stereo headset WH-203 with FM radio in the box.

Btw, this camera upgrade to “i” version of devices lends credence to the rumor about the upcoming 5 megapixel  Nokia E71i we reported recently.

Nokia's X6 follows the 5800's footsteps, while the X3 brings Ovi Store to Series 40

We'd be tempted to use the word "featurephone" on the X6 (pictured) if it wasn't Nokia behind the handset, pumping the relatively chubby 0.55-inch thick form factor with 32GB of storage, a 5 megapixel camera, a dual LED flash, TV-out, and a 3.2-inch touchscreen. The phone is also a Comes with Music only handset, so don't expect to get all boring and old with this phone in your pocket -- or to pay for a voice plan that doesn't include the service. Otherwise, the phone seems to be a slightly slimmed down Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, sporting the same OS, A-GPS (with Ovi Maps), and we suppose a similar resistive touchscreen. Nokia was kind enough to include a free copy of Spore along with the Ovi Store, and plans to ship the handset in Q4 2009 for 459 Euros (about $652 US) before subsidy.

The X3 is a much tamer affair than the X6, offering a 2.2 non-touchscreen, a slide-out keypad, and Series 40 for an OS. There's a 3.2 megapixel camera, but you'll have to spring for a microSD card if you need significant onboard storage. What's new is that the X3 is the first Series 40 handset to include the Ovi Store, which should help it edge out the competition when it comes to functionality. The price isn't bad either, at 115 Euros (about $163 US) before subsidy. It'll be out in Q4 as well.
